At its core, design is problem-solving, and creating helpful solutions to tough challenges is what keeps designers inspired. Humankind Institute is a community of designers driven to awaken a passion for good design in our industry and our world. As designers, we also realize that identifying a problem is the first step to awakening the designer inside everyone.
Our network exists to connect humans who are intimate with the most urgent problems in our world today with the humans who can design meaningful solutions (and the humans who can help fund their implementation). Some of the challenges we take up are immense, systemic, and complex, while some are small and local. We believe that transformative change is achievable at every level with the right partnerships and open-sourced engagements.
